Fitwood Nuppu is a brand new type of rocking horse.
Its playful and softly abstract design language allows the product to be used the other way round, allowing it to be used for other purposes such as as a table.
When turned around, Nuppu transforms from a rocking horse into a table and bench for small children, or a cute bedside table.
As a rocking horse, Nuppu builds confidence and courage, especially in children, and develops body control by producing a rocking motion and controlling speed.
With time and repetition, the child learns to control the back and forth rocking motion with his body, and is able to explore his own limits by testing how hard he dares to go.
When it’s time to move on to more leisurely play, the rocking horse can be easily turned around into a small workstation, perfect for a variety of mindfulness activities such as shaping a modelling clay wax, assembling puzzles or exploring books.
To maximise the use of space and the longevity of the product, one side of the product is designed to function not only as a workstation but also as a practical children’s bedside table.
The rocking horse is made from sustainably produced high quality birch plywood in the EU.
It is available in birch colour, as well as painted white.
