The Kumpu Montessori bookcase is an innovative new piece of children’s furniture that encourages children to be self-directed, without forgetting the importance of play.
It is designed to nurture children’s natural desire to learn new things and, in particular, to support their development of independent activities.
Inspired by the Montessori philosophy, the Kumpu bookcase has shelves at the child’s height, allowing the child to see the covers of the books and easily reach for the book they want.
On the other side of the ”mound” is a workstation, which is ideal for activities such as concentration and motor skills.
As play is also an equally important part of a child’s development, the child can crawl through the tunnel at any time to explore the fairy-tale worlds of his or her favourite books.
The Kumpu montessori bookcase is made from sustainably produced, high-quality birch plywood in the EU.
